Re: Damaged desk lamp in order AC-3186

Dear Customer Services Team,

I am writing about the desk lamp in order AC-3186, delivered on August 25, 2026. The shade arrived cracked and the base was dented. I reported the damage by email on August 26 but have not yet received a response.

The outer packaging appeared intact when delivered, but I found the damage as soon as I unpacked the lamp. I have kept the lamp and packaging while waiting for instructions. I would prefer a replacement of the same model if one is available.

I am requesting a replacement lamp and instructions for returning the damaged item. Please respond at john.doe@example.com and let me know whether you need photographs or further purchase details.

Sincerely,
John Doe

What this letter is

A complaint letter describes a specific problem with a product, service or interaction and asks for a response or remedy. Use dates and facts, and separate what happened from what you would like to happen next.

What to put in it

  • Product, service or transaction reference
  • What happened and prior attempts to resolve it
  • The resolution you are requesting
